Cranberry Cookies

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1/2 c. butter, softened
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 3/4 c.brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 2 Tbsp. orange juice
  • 3 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/4 c. milk
  • 2 1/2 c. fresh cranberries, coarsely chopped
  • 1 c. white baking chips
  • 1 c. walnuts or pecans, chopped

Glaze:
1/3 c. butter
2 c. powdered sugar
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
3-4 Tbsp. water

DIRECTIONS:

Preheat oven to 375°. Cream together butter and sugars until light and fluffy. Beat in egg and orange juice. Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture alternately with milk. Mix well. Stir in cranberries, white baking chips and walnuts. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until light brown. Cool.
